Since 1969, the UC Martial Arts Program (UCMAP) has trained thousands of Berkeley students, faculty, staff & community members in martial arts and self-defense. With the rising anti-Asian Pacific Islander violence in America, many are wondering how to protect themselves if harassed or assaulted.
Join UCMAP’s Lily Chou for a free webinar discussing how to think strategically about personal safety, transform fear into self-confidence, and learn how to support others through uncertain and difficult times.
A fourth-degree black belt, Lily has been training in Yongmudo, a self-defense-oriented Korean martial art, for over 25 years and is an instructor in UCMAP’s Yongmudo club. She has also studied taekwondo and Brazilian jiujitsu, co-written two martial arts books, and edited several Krav Maga and yongmudo training manuals.
