The Berkeley Youth Gymnastics Recreation Program will conclude in December 2025. After more than a year of searching for a long-term facility on and off campus, RecWell was not able to secure a space that meets the program needs and the University’s operational, safety, and compliance requirements. RecWell will continue to offer a variety of youth recreation opportunities, including aquatics, climbing, outdoor programs, and Youth Camps, and the information on this page pertains to current programs that are wrapping up.

About This Class
Private lessons provide focused support, allowing gymnasts to work on specific skills at their own pace in a comfortable, individualized setting.
Recreational students can request a private lesson with a coach of their choosing. Team athletes must request a private lesson with any team coach.
Please contact us at bygprivates@berkeley.edu so we can assist you in facilitating a private lesson. Privates must be scheduled at least a week in advance and payment must be complete prior to the lesson.
