Safe Powerboat Handling combines classroom instruction with practical, hands-on experience on boats 26 feet and under.
Safe Powerboat Handling
Learning to drive a powerboat is definitely an adventure! Come learn on our boats, spending 18 hours of classroom and on the water time, learning how boats work, what they can do, and how to be safe out on the water. We cover everything from basic engines to weather to rules of the road to actual practice. In California every boater using a powerboat is required to have a state license, and this course counts for certification.
You must be 15 years old or older to take this class. There are no other prerequisites for this Safe Power Handling Course.
