Customer Service & Passport Acceptance Facility
The Recreation & Wellbeing Customer Service Center is the place to go for membership sales, passport services — yes, we’re an official passport processor — and information about all of our classes, camps and other program offerings. You can find it on the right when you first enter the RSF. See our regular hours to make an appointment.
Stretching Rooms
A stretching area is available in Court 3 or Court 4 on the right of the Recreational Sports Facility (RSF) Atrium. The stretching room, which rotates monthly between Courts 3 and 4, is equipped with mats and swiss balls for all your recovery needs. The rooms are available for stretching during all RSF open hours.
Cardio Equipment
We’ve got treadmills, stairmasters, elliptical trainers, rowing machines, stationary bikes, and more. Our machines – over 100 and counting – are there for you in the Recreational Sports Facility (RSF) Atrium and on the second floor (up the stairs at the left of the Atrium) whenever the RSF is open.
Adventures Climbing Wall
We recently celebrated the addition of a climbing wall to the RSF! Our climbing wall routes are designed to be accessible to everyone, from beginners to experienced climbers for bouldering and top rope usage. For students, there’s no fee for equipment, shoes, and training. The wall can be used in a variety of ways, including stress relief and strength building. Check out our small classes, team building activities, workshops and other programming.
Indoor Racquet and Squash Courts
Racquetball, Handball, Squash, or Table Tennis: whatever the racquet, we’ve got a court for you. Located to the right of the Recreational Sports Facility (RSF) Atrium with entrances between cardio machines, all courts are available during regular RSF hours.
Make a court reservation. Reservations are available up to 72 hours in advance or the same day if space is open. Members can make one reservation per day.
Weight Room
Our three Recreational Sports Facility (RSF) weight rooms total 8,500 square feet and are equipped with Cybex machines, Cybex VR2 stations, a complete free weight set-up, Iron Grip and Tri Bar dumbbells, adjustable benches, Olympic squat racks, Gravitron pull-up stations and much, much more.
Find the weight rooms in the first opening on the left of the Atrium and visit them during regular RSF hours to experience the variety!
The RecWell team is excited to launch a new feature for our members and patrons starting October 28, 2024 – a virtual line for the weight room. The technology is algorithm based and will allow our patrons the ability to use their mobile device or a computer to get a spot in the line for the weight rooms.
We will start off using this tool on Monday – Friday from 5-7pm through the end of the fall 2024 semester.
Join the line. Read our FAQs for more information.
For the fall semester as we test and adapt, we will have additional staff at the entrance to the weight room to assist with the technology and answering questions. We anticipate moving to using it more frequently, specifically anytime the weight room is at 95% capacity or higher starting in the spring.
Field House
If you’re on the lookout for some new friends who love to play pick-up as much as you do, you can find them in the Recreational Sports Facility (RSF) Field House. The Field House holds three courts reserved for Open Recreation basketball, volleyball, badminton, and more! Check out our Open Recreation schedules to find out when you can play.
The Field House can be found at the end of the RSF Atrium. Once you enter the Atrium, continue straight, past all of the cardio machines, until you reach a large space holding three basketball courts. If you come across the courts, you’re in the Field House!
Combatives Room
Our expansive Combatives Room hosts a number of our group fitness classes. The bounty of space is ideal for all of the moving and grooving our instructors will have you doing.
To locate the Combatives Room, enter the Atrium, the large area where the cardio machines can be found on the left side of the Recreational Sports Facility (RSF), and keep going until you encounter the second opening on the left. You will find two large rooms. The Combatives Room is the left room.
Blue Gym
The Field House isn’t the only place in the Recreational Sports Facility (RSF) where you can shoot some hoops or start a volleyball rally. The Blue Gym might become your new favorite venue for a pick-up game! Check out our Open Recreation schedules for open hours.
The Blue Gym is located on the third floor of the Recreational Sports Facility. To access it, face the RSF Atrium and find the stairs on the left. Walk up the two sets of stairs until you find two doors opening onto basketball courts on your left. The Blue Gym is on the left side. There is also an elevator on the left of the RSF that can provide an ADA accessible entrance to the third floor. Once you reach the third floor, a staff member will need to assist you in entering the Gym.

Locker Rooms
Because we want to ensure that everyone has a positive workout experience with as much room as possible, we don’t allow bags beyond the front desk of the Recreational Sports Facility (RSF). Thankfully, we have spacious and accommodating locker rooms where you can store your belongings while you sweat it out.
The locker rooms are located in the back of the RSF. If you are entering the building, keep going straight and continue through the hallway straight ahead. The locker rooms will be on the right at the end of the hallway and the smiling faces of our staff will welcome you and lend you a lock for the day. All members may use the locker room that suits their needs and identity.
