Since the early 1970s, Cal Lightweight Rowing has fostered the sport of rowing among UC Berkeley students.
About
Cal Lightweight Rowing originated in 1970 and has been a long-standing athletic organization at Berkeley. We are a tight-knit team with a strong work ethic, deep motivations, and inseparable relationships. The team represents Cal in competitions against varsity and club university rowing programs all over the nation. We will push athletes to new physical and mental limits coming up to the various 5k and 2k regattas throughout the season. Experience is preferred, but none is required. Tryouts
We do not do try outs, however we will do learn-to-row sessions on the third or fourth week of the semester.
