Split the day exploring the water and land! Learn the fundamentals of stand-up paddleboarding and sit-on-top kayaking on the South Sailing Basin.
Paddle Adventures campers will spend half of the day on aquatic adventures in the South Sailing Basin, with the other half occupied by terrestrial exploration. The Berkeley Marina is the perfect place for campers to learn how to Kayak and Paddleboard. The calmer winds of the morning create perfect conditions for new skill mastery, while the more powerful winds of the afternoon create exciting conditions and challenges for practicing paddling skills. Possible land-based activities include geocaching, kite flying, survival skills, team games, plus some arts & crafts.
Ages & Eligibility
Campers must be ages 9-10 or 10-11 on the first day of the camp session in order to register.

New for Summer 2024: Due to the popularity of Paddle Adventures, we will begin to offer TWO age groups of this camp each session.

This camp’s weekly activity schedule is determined once we have the most up to date weather information. Mondays will be land-based, and a schedule will be sent home that evening. Swimming ability is not required, however a comfort with wind and water is strongly encouraged.
