Junior Counselor

The Junior Counselor program develops leadership skills that you can use throughout life and to help others and yourself identify and achieve goals.

About The Program

Junior Counselors are considered staff members; attend pre-camp staff training; and are assigned a work schedule and job duties with the program they are placed in. The goal of the program is to develop leadership skills that can be applied to all aspects of life and utilized in any future career. Junior Counselors develop skills by setting and achieving personal goals while also leading and teaching children different activities at camp.

Compensation: Volunteer and Paid Stipend Positions

Location: Golden Bear Rec Center (Blue Camp) and Strawberry Canyon Rec Area (Explorer and Science & Sports Camp). There are also limited position with the Skateboard Camp at GBRC and Cal Adventures Camps at the Berkeley Marina.
